My Lords, I beg to make the Motion, of which I have given Notice, for the appointment of a joint Committee to consider this Bill.

Moved, That a Committee of Five Lords be appointed to join with a Committee of the House of Commons to consider the said Bill; that the Lords following be named of the Committee—

That such Committee have power to agree with the Committee of the House of Commons in the appointment of a Chairman.—(Lord Askwith.)

On Question, Motion agreed to.

Message sent to the House of Commons acquainting them of the appointment of five Lords to serve on this Committee, and requesting them to appoint five Members of that House to be joined to the said Committee.

House adjourned at twenty-five minutes to seven o'clock.
