HL Deb 06 December 1922 vol 52 c289
THE CHAIRMAN OF COMMITTEES (THE EARL OF DONOUGHMORE)

My Lords, I beg to move, That Standing Order No. 80 relative to Private Bills, with respect to the appointment of the Standing Orders Committee, be dispensed with in the present session of Parliament. There are, of course, no Private Bills this session. The Private Bills that are shortly to come before your Lordships will be deposited in the usual way under the Standing Orders, and will be considered by your Lordships in February. It is not necessary, therefore, in this session that we should have a Standing Orders Committee.

Moved, That Standing Order No. 80 relative to Private Bills, with respect to the appointment of the Standing Orders Committee, be dispensed with in the present session of Parliament.— (The Earl of Donoughmore.)

On Question, Motion agreed to, and ordered accordingly.
