HL Deb 02 August 1922 vol 51 c1069

Order of the Day read for the consideration of Commons Amendments.

Moved, that the Commons Amendments be now considered.—(The Earl of Onslow.)

On Question, Motion agreed to.

THE EARL OF ONSLOW

I do not think the Amendments are controversial, although they introduce several new-clauses.

THE LORD CHANCELLOR

Unless any noble Lord wishes to raise any particular point perhaps the Commons Amendments may be taken en bloc.

THE MARQUESS OF SALISBURY

Are they very substantial?

THE KARL OF ONSLOW

I do not think so.

LORD STRACHIE

As I took some considerable part in the discussion on the Bill in this House, perhaps I may say that I am perfectly satisfied with the Amendments as they now are.
