Order of the Day read for the consideration of Commons Amendments.

For protection of Caldwell & Co. (Papermakers),Limited.

87. The following provisions shall have effect for the protection of Caldwell and Company (Papermakers) Limited in respect of the lands at present owned by the said company in the burgh of Inverkeithing (which company and its successors in the said lands are hereinafter in this section referred to as "the company"):—

  1. (1) Nothing in this Order shall prejudice or affect the right of the company to discharge into Inverkeithing Bay the 114 waste liquid products from their present works and from any additional or substituted works on the. said lands Provided that in the exercise of such right no injury or impediment shall be Caused to the navigation of the river nor danger to the shipping thereon:
  2. (2) If the Board shall at any time become bound by reason or in consequence of any operations carried out or work constructed by the Board in the river under this Order to make and maintain reasonable, facilities for the drainage from the said lands the said waste liquid products shall if their disposal in manner aforesaid be cut off or interfered with be deemed to be part of the drainage for which provision has to be made:

(3) Nothing in this Order shall prejudice or affect the right of the company to continue to reclaim the land included in the few contract between the burgh of Inverkeithing and the company dated the twenty-fifth day of August and the ninth clay of September one thousand nine hundred and five and recorded in the burgh register of Inverkeithing the twenty-first day of Al arch one thousand nine hundred and six:
  4. (4) Any difference arising between the Board and the company under this section shall be determined by a single arbiter to be agreed upon or failing agreement by an arbiter to be appointed by the Board of Trade on the application of either party.
