Amendments reported (according to Order).

Clause 1:

Prohibition. of practice of dentistry by unregistered persons.

(3) Nothing in this section shall operate to prevent—

  1. (a) the practice of dentistry by a registered medical practitioner; or
  2. (b) the extraction of a tooth by a duly registered pharmaceutical chemist or duly registered chemist and druggist, where the case is urgent and no duly qualified medical paw' it inner registered dentist is available and the operation is performed without the application of any general or local ainæsthetie;or

My Lords, I beg to move in paragraph (b) of subsection (3) to leave out "duly qualified" and insert "registered." The object. of the Amendment is to give the same phraseology as in the first subsection.
