Clause 1 (Sale of corn to be by weight):

THE EARL OF ANCASTER moved, in paragraph (iv) of the proviso, to leave out "in the case of corn sold or contracted to be"and insert,"for or relating to corn bought or." The noble Earl said: My Lords, this is a purely drafting Amendment, merely giving effect to the wish expressed by your Lordships the other day that corn bought and sold for export should not be included in the Bill.
