HL Deb 07 July 1921 vol 45 c1017

Clause 4, page line 22, leave out from (" shall ") to the end of line 23 and insert (" fur the purpose of this section be treated as being a registered dentist ")

The Commons propose to amend this amendment as follows:

After (" treated") insert (" in relation to that body corporate or any other body corporate. formed for the purpose of reconstructing that body corporate or of amalgamating it with any other such body carrying on the business of dentistry at the commencement of this Act")

THE EARL OF ONSLOW

My Lords, the Amendment which has been made in another place to your Lordships' Amendment is a small one. Words have been added to Clause 4 to secure that the proviso should operate in regard to existing companies, and companies formed for the purpose of reconstruction or amalgamation, and not in regard to new companies. I beg to move that the Amendment be agreed to.

Moved, That this House doth not insist upon the said Amendment and agrees to the Amendment proposed by the Commons. —(The Earl of Onslow.)

On Question, Motion agreed to.
