HL Deb 30 November 1920 vol 42 c719
THE CHANCELLOR OF THE DUCHY OF LANCASTER (THE EARL OF CRAWFORD)

My Lords, I have to move, on behalf of my noble friend Lord Curzon, the Resolution which stands in his name on the Paper. I had an opportunity last night of consulting Lord Strachie, who was courteous enough to agree to this Motion, thus postponing the priority which he had held for a good many days. Unfortunately I have not been able to see Lord Linlithgow, but I have reason to hope that he likewise is prepared to consent. The result of this Motion is to give precedence to my noble friend Lord Lee, who will move the Second Reading of the Agriculture Bill, after which the noble Marquess, Lord Lincolnshire, will move the adjournment of the debate to this day week. I beg to move accordingly.

Moved, That Standing Order No. XXI be considered in order to its being suspended for this day's sitting so that the Agriculture Bill have precedence over other Notices and Orders of the Day.—(The Earl of Crawford.)

On Question, Motion agreed to.
