HL Deb 29 November 1920 vol 42 cc717-8
THE EARL OF CRAWFORD

My Lords, I beg to give notice that to-morrow the noble Earl, Lord Curzon—or, if he cannot be here, I—will move that the Second Reading of the Agriculture Bill, standing in Lord Lee's name, should have priority over other Orders on the Paper. My noble friend Lord Strachie has been good enough to consent to this course, thus postponing the Second Reading of his Bill, the Diseases of Animals Act (Amendment) Bill, until a later stage in the evening. Other Bills and Motions standing in the names of members of the Government will likewise be postponed until after tile speech of Lord Lee in presenting the Bill for Second Reading. I understand that the noble Marquess, Lord Lincolnshire, on the conclusion of Lord Lee's speech, will Hove the adjournment of the debate until Tuesday of next week, when he will move the rejection of the Bill.
