HL Deb 15 July 1920 vol 41 c181

Order of the Day for the House to be put into Committee read.

THE LORD CHANCELLOR (LORD BIRKENHEAD)

My Lords, since this Bill was considered by your Lordships on the Second Reading, certain Amendments in respect of which the parties cannot agree, have been placed upon the Paper. I hardly think your Lordships will be willing to consider them in Committee of the Whole House. In these circumstances, I think the most convenient course will be for me to move that the Bill be referred to the Lords sitting for judicial business on Friday next, or on any day on which the matter should be appointed for hearing.

Moved, That the Bill be referred to the Lords sitting for judicial business on Friday next or on any day on which the matter be appointed for hearing.—(The Lord Chancellor.)

On Question, Motion agreed to.
