I suggest that it will probably be necessary—in fact it will be necessary—to sit after dinner on one night or the other, and I think it will be to the general convenience of the House that the longer sitting should take place on Monday, the first day of our discussion.

§ THE LORD CHANCELLOROn this Motion, I think I ought to inform your Lordships that it has been made known to 178 me that some of those who were anxious to take part in the debate on the Law of Property Bill, and who expected that Bill to be reached to-night, cannot be here conveniently to-morrow. I therefore have to inform your Lordships, in order that it may be made known to other noble Lords by the Press, that it is proposed to take the Committee Stage of that Bill not tomorrow, but on Monday, July 26.
