HL Deb 23 December 1920 vol 39 c949

Message from the Commons: That they agree to certain of the Amendments last made by the Lords to the Agriculture Bill without amendment; that they do not insist on other Amendments to which their Lordships have disagreed, but propose an Amendment in lieu thereof.

LORD LEE OF FAREHAM

My Lords, if you will accept it from me, the Amendment proposed by the Commons was to Lord Selborne's Amendment with regard to leases, in which words were inserted to the effect that the provision applied only where the land had been in the hands of the owner for not less than twelve months. I understand that the noble Earl is glad to accept those words, and I move that this House doth agree with the Commons in the said Amendment.

Moved, That this House cloth agree with the Commons in the said Amendment.—(Lord Lee of Fareham.)

House adjourned during pleasure.

House resumed.
