HL Deb 06 August 1920 vol 41 c1014
VISCOUNT ASTOR

In moving that the House do now adjourn it might suit your Lordships' convenience if I were to tell you the programme for next week. On Monday it is proposed to take the Restoration of Order in Ireland Bill through all its stages, the Committee stage of the Ministry of Food Bill, and the Committee stage of the Indemnity Bill; on Tuesday, the Report stage and Third Reading of the Mines Bill, and the Report stage and Third Reading of the Ministry of Food Bill and the Indemnity Bill; on Wednesday, a number of small Bills; and on Thursday, Commons messages, if any, and the Consolidated Fund Bill through all its stages.

THE MARQUESS OF SALISBURY

Upon that I have no comment to make, except this—that the Mines Bill is a complicated Bill and it may be that when we have dealt with the Report it will not be possible to take the Third Reading the same day. I do not want you to think we are pledged to accept that in certain circumstances.

On Question, Motion agreed to.

House adjourned at twenty minutes past eight o'clock.
