HL Deb 29 May 1919 vol 34 cc963-4

The Account of the Fee Fund of the House of Lords for the year ended 31st March, 1919, was laid before the Committee by the Clerk of the Parliaments.

THE CHAIRMAN OF COMMITTEES (THE EARL OF DONOUGHMORE)

My Lords, in moving that this Report be adopted I ask your Lordships to agree to the Report with the exception of paragraphs 2 and 6, with the object of referring them back to the Committee. In regard to paragraph 2, there is a recommendation made to the Committee by the Lord Great Chamberlain that in view of unexpected developments since the Report was printed this portion of the Report should be referred back. I entirely concur, and I am sure the House will follow his recommendation. The Clerk of the Parliaments has asked me to suggest to your Lordships that Paragraph 6 should also be referred back for very cogent reasons with which I need not trouble your Lordships at this hour.

Moved. That the House agree to the said Report with the exception of paragraphs 2 and 6, and that those paragraphs be referred back to the Committee.—(The Earl of Donoughmore.)
