HL Deb 08 May 1919 vol 34 c543
LORD BUCKMASTER

Will your Lordships kindly consent, with the sanction of Lord Sandhurst, to the Committee stage of the Bill that stands in my name preceding his Bill? The Committee stage of my Bill (Solicitors Bill) is purely formal, whilst the Committee stage of his (Ministry of Health Bill) involves the consideration of considerable Amendments. It is, of course, necessary to maintain your Lordships' right to order the business of the House, but I hope you will see that in the circumstances mine is not an unreasonable request to make.

THE LORD CHANCELLOR (LORD BIRKENHEAD)

Do I understand that the noble Viscount assents?

VISCOUNT SANDHURST

indicated assent.

Moved, That leave be given to the suggested variation in the Order of Procedure—(Lord Buckmaster.)

On Question, Motion agreed to.
