HL Deb 14 July 1919 vol 35 c481
LORD STRACHIE

My Lords, I desire to ask what is the cause of the delay in setting up the Select Committee on the question of the discrimination in milk prices, which the House resolved should be set up a week ago. I hope that ray noble friend Lord Hylton will realise that this is a question which is pressing at this period of the session. There is not very much time before we adjourn, and the Committee ought to be set up at the earliest possible moment, owing to the anxiety felt on the subject in the Western counties.

LORD HYLTON

My Lords, I shall move to-morrow that the Select Committee be composed of Lord Rathcreedan (Chairman), the Earl of Northbrook, the Earl of Mount-Edgcumbe, Lord Hindlip, and the Earl of Strafford. I am sorry that there has been delay, but my noble friend knows that it takes a little time to get the names of members willing to serve.
