HL Deb 10 July 1919 vol 35 cc479-80
THE CHANCELLOR OF THE DUCHY OF LANCASTER (THE EARL OF CRAWFORD)

My Lords, in moving that the House do now adjourn I should like to say that I find it will be inconvenient to many of your Lordships to take the Report stage of the Housing Bill on Tuesday next. I therefore suggest that it should be taken on Thursday of next week, but that is putting it off rather longer than we had hoped. I trust, therefore, that your Lordships, after concluding the Report stage, will see fit to give a Third Reading as well, in order that your Lordships' Amendments may go back to the House of Commons and be dealt with during the succeeding week. On Monday next the Committee stage of the Forestry Bill will be taken, and on Wednesday there is an important Notice on the Order Paper with regard to coal. Thursday, as I have said, will be completely devoted to the Housing Bill.

THE MARQUESS OF CREWE

And Tuesday the Church Bill?

THE EARL OF CRAWFORD

I understand that the most rev. Primate has put the Report stage of that measure down for Tuesday.
