The LORD PRESIDENT OF THE COUNCIL (Earl Curzon of Kedleston) acquainted the House that His Majesty had been pleased to create the Right Honourable Sir Frederick Edwin Smith, Baronet (Lord Chancellor of Great Britain), a Peer of this Realm, by the title of Baron Birkenhead of Birkenhead in the County of Chester, and his Lordship, having retired to robe—Was introduced in the usual manner.
