HL Deb 15 May 1918 vol 29 c1093
THE LORD PRESIDENT OF THE COUNCIL (EARL CURZON OF KEDLESTON)

MY Lords, I beg to make the Motion that stands in my name, that Standing Order No. XXXIX be considered in order to its being suspended for this day's sitting. In connection with what I said yesterday as to the particular purpose for which the suspension is moved, I desire to inform your Lordships that I propose that it should apply only to the Defence of the Realm (Food Profits) Bill, which is in the hands of my noble friend the Lord Privy Seal. Perhaps, as I am speaking, I may take the opportunity of saying that I shall ask your Lordships to meet at 3 o'clock to-morrow afternoon in order to complete the business of this part of the session before the adjournment.

Moved, That Standing Order No. XXXIX be suspended for this day's sitting.—(Earl Curzon of Kedleston.)

On Question, Motion agreed to.
