Message from the Commons, That they concur in the Resolution of this House communicated to their on the 27th ultimo—namely, "That it is desirable that all Consolidation Bills in the present session be referred to a Joint Committee of both Houses of Parliament."

Moved, That a Committee of Five Lords be appointed to join with a Committee of the House of Commons to consider all Consolidation Bills of the present session.

That the Lords following be named of the Committee—

E. Loreburn. L. Wrenbury.
L. Sanderson. L. Muir Mackenzie.
L. Parmoor.

That such Committee have power to agree with the Committee of the House of Commons in the appointment of a Chairman.—(The Lord Chancellor.)

On Question, Motion agreed to: Then a Message was ordered to be sent to the House of Commons to acquaint them therewith, and to request them to appoint five members of that House to join with the said Committee, to which has been referred the Income. Tax Bill [H.L.].
