House in Committee (according to Order).

[The EARL of DONOUGHMORE in the Chair.]

Clause 1:

VISCOUNT SANDHURST

I have an Amendment to move on this clause, the object being that after their arduous work these asylum officers should receive some return.

Amendment moved— Clause 1, page 2, line 11, at end insert "and if lie has been in the service of an asylum as a first-class officer or servant for not loss than ten years, and has so removed before the date of this Act or within five years after that date, he shall become qualified for receiving a superannuation allowance at the age of 55 years instead of at the age of 60 years".—(Viscount Sandhurst.)

Clause 1, as amended, agreed to.

Remaining clause agreed to.
