HL Deb 06 November 1917 vol 26 c904
VISCOUNT CHAPLIN

Your Lordships will have observed that I have on the Paper for Thursday next the following Notice

To call attention to the gravity of the situation in Ireland, and to ask what steps the Government are taking in pursuance of the statement made by the Prime Minister on Tuesday, October 23, in another place; and to move for Papers.

It may, perhaps, be for the convenience of the House that I should state that, in view of a request which I received this morning from the Leader of the House (Lord Curzon). I propose to postpone the Question until next Tuesday. I am sure your Lordships will all share with me the regret that this request has been made on account of the indisposition of the noble Earl.

House adjourned at fifteen minutes before five o'clock.
