HL Deb 16 August 1917 vol 26 cc615-6
EARL CURZON OF KEDLESTON

In moving the adjournment of the House, perhaps I had better say that I propose to ask your Lordships to take the Report stage at three o'clock to-morrow. The Bill has to be reprinted, and it will be in the hands of noble Lords as early as possible in the morning. A good many points have been reserved for the Report stage, and my hope that we might have met earlier than three o'clock to-morrow is evidently impossible of realisation. On the other hand, there is so much business before us that I am sure your Lordships will agree to meet at an earlier hour than usual. A whip, therefore, has been issued with the idea that the meeting should be at three o'clock.

House adjourned at half-past eight o'clock, till to-morrow, three o'clock.
