§ VISCOUNT MIDLETONMy Lords, I beg to give notice on behalf of Lord Peel that on Wednesday next, November 10, he will call attention to the effect on our national finances of the increasing cost of the war, and will move to resolve "That, in the opinion of this House, it is the duty of His Majesty's Government to exercise a more effective supervision and control of naval and military expenditure."
