§ Brought from the Commons; read 1a; and to be printed.
§ LORD STRACHIEMay I ask on what day the noble Earl intends to take the Second Reading of this Bill?
THE PRESIDENT OF THE BOARD OF AGRICULTURE AND FISHERIES (THE EARL OF SELEORNE)I should like to take the Second Reading to-morrow, if that is agreeable to the House.
§ LORD STRACHIEIt is rather short notice. There was a discussion on the matter at the County Councils Association after the noble Earl left this morning, and they thought the Bill so important that they referred it to their Parliamentary Committee, not thinking that the Second Reading would be taken this week.
§ THE EARL OF SELBORNEIf that is the case, I will certainly postpone it. Will next Tuesday do?
§ THE EARL OF SELBORNEThen will put the Bill down for Wednesday.
§ Bill to be read 2a on Wednesday next (The Earl of Selborne). (No. 112.)
