HL Deb 08 June 1915 vol 19 c22
THE LORD PRESIDENT OF THE COUNCIL (THE MARQUESS of CREWE)

My Lords, there is no more business on the Paper, and I only do not move the adjournment of the House because it is desirable that the House should adjourn during pleasure in order to receive from another place the Ministry of Munitions Bill, which will be read a first time herb to-day and printed. To-morrow an opportunity will be given to those noble Lords who may desire to make some observations upon the Bill. But I propose to place on the Paper for to-morrow a Motion for the suspension of Standing Order No. XXXIX, and I hope the House will agree to take the Bill through its remaining stages at that sitting, as noble Lords will understand that it is important that this new office should be brought into being with as little delay as possible.

House adjourned during pleasure; and resumed by the DUKE of DEVONSHIRE.
