§ [SECOND READING.]
§ Order of the Day for the Second Reading read.
§ LORD HYLTONMy Lords, at this period of the session I understand that a Bill is invariably brought in to continue various laws that would otherwise expire by the mere effluxion of time. The Bill to which I ask your Lordships to give a Second Reading this afternoon continues for the space of one year a variety of Statutes of one sort or another which would otherwise expire on December 30 or in the month of March next.
§ Moved, That the Bill be now read 2a.—(Lord Hylton.)
§ On Question, Bill read 2a, and committed to a Committee of the Whole House To-morrow.
