HL Deb 16 September 1914 vol 17 c704

Order of the Day for the Second Reading read.

EARL BEAUCHAMP

My Lords, this is a Bill which is more especially connected with the war. The object of it is to allow more time to be given with regard to the collection of rates in cases where the war affects the unfortunate people who are in arrears. I beg to move.

Moved, That the Bill be now read 2ª.—(Earl Beauchamp.)

On Question, Bill read 2ª.

Committee negatived: Then (Standing Order No. XXXIX having been suspended) Bill read 3ª, and passed.
