The KING'S Answer to the Address of Wednesday last reported by the Lord Steward (E. Chesterfield) and read as follows:

"MY LORDS,

I have received with great satisfaction the loyal and dutiful expression of your thanks for the Speech with which I opened the present Session of Parliament.

I take note of your representations "in regard to the Government of Ireland Bill."

The LORD CHANCELLOR acquainted the House, That the Clerk of the Parliaments had laid upon the Table the Certificates from the Examiners that the further Standing Orders applicable to the following Bills have been complied with:

Wesleyan and General Assurance Society. [H. L.]

Chelmsford Gas. [H.L.]

Great Eastern Railway [H.L.].

Great Northern Railway. [H.L.]

Longwood and Slaithwaite Gas. [H.L.]

Whitwell and District Gas. [H.L.]

The same were ordered to lie on the Table.
