HL Deb 27 August 1914 vol 17 c548
THE MARQUESS OF CREWE

My Lords, a Royal Commission has been fixed for 2.45 p.m. to-morrow. It is desirable that the House should meet at half-past two, as there will be two or three Bills to be passed through all their stages. One of those Bills deals with the further issue of bank notes. It will not take long to explain, but something ought to be said upon it. I am not likely, however, to be able to made any statement to-morrow with regard to further business, but I hope to be able to do so definitely on Monday.

THE MARQUESS OF LANSDOWNE

Then the noble Marquess proposes that the House should sit next week?

THE MARQUESS OF CREWE

On Monday.

THE MARQUESS OF LANSDOWNE

Only on Monday?

THE MARQUESS OF CREWE

That is exactly what I am unable to tell the noble Marquess at this moment.

House adjourned at Seven o'clock, till To-morrow, half-past Two o'clock.
