THE CHAIRMAN OF COMMITTEES (THE EARL OF DONOUGHMORE)My Lords, I desire to announce that all petitions, if any, against this Bill should be deposited by Monday next at 3 o'clock. Also it is my intention to put a Motion on the Notice Paper suspending the Standing Order which makes it necessary that all Estates Bills should wait for ten days between Second Reading and Committee. This being a House of Lords Bill it is desirable to shorten that period a little, and I shall at the proper time ask your Lordships to reduce the period from ten to seven days. The Notice will appear on the Paper in the usual course.
§ Bill read 2a.
