HL Deb 22 July 1913 vol 14 c1204
THE CHAIRMAN OF COMMITTEES (THE EARL OF DONOUGHMORE)

My Lords, I desire to announce that all petitions, if any, against this Bill should be deposited by Monday next at 3 o'clock. Also it is my intention to put a Motion on the Notice Paper suspending the Standing Order which makes it necessary that all Estates Bills should wait for ten days between Second Reading and Committee. This being a House of Lords Bill it is desirable to shorten that period a little, and I shall at the proper time ask your Lordships to reduce the period from ten to seven days. The Notice will appear on the Paper in the usual course.

Bill read 2a.
