Order of the Day for the Second Reading read.

THE LORD CHANCELLOR (VISCOUNT HALDANE)

My Lords, this Bill purposes to consolidate and simplify the great mass of enactments relating to forgery and kindred offences. The Bill has already been before your Lordships in the last session of Parliament, and should you assent to its Second Reading to-day I propose to move that it be referred to a Joint Committee of both Houses in order that its provisions may be investigated.
