Bill to be printed as amended. (No. 175.)

LORD BALFOUR OF BURLEIGH

I do not know whether I am entitled to ask when the noble Earl proposes to take the Report stage?

EARL BEAUCHAMP

I am in no hurry about the Report stage. Any day convenient to noble Lords opposite will suit me, so there is no need to settle it to-day.

LORD BALFOUR OF BURLEIGH

I trust that an announcement of when the Report stage is to be taken will be given a sufficient length of time beforehand to enable us to make the necessary arrangements.

EARL BEAUCHAMP

Certainly. At the same time I hope that noble Lords who have Amendments to make will not delay unduly in considering them.

LORD BALFOUR OF BURLEIGH

I am out of order in speaking again, and I am sorry to be insistent. It is all very well to leave the thing to be settled between the Front Benches, but we do not all hear what takes place and some of us do not happen to be in London. I should like to know at least a week beforehand when the Report stage will be taken.

EARL BEAUCHAMP

I will take care that the noble Lord is informed.
