§ Commons Message of this day considered (on Motion): Moved, That a Committee of Five Lords be appointed to join with the Committee of the Commons to consider whether any, and if any, what restrictions should be imposed on Gas Authorities with respect to the purchase and manufacture of the residual products resulting from the manufacture of gas by other Gas Authorities, or of other chemicals (The Chairman of Committees); agreed to: The Lords following were named of the Committee—

§ Ordered, That such Committee have power to agree with the Committee of the Commons in the appointment of a Chairman: Then a Message was ordered to be sent to the Commons to inform them of the appointment of the said Committee by this House, and to propose that the Joint Committee do meet in Committee Room A on Tuesday next at Twelve o'clock.
§ Leave given to the Joint Committee to hear parties interested by themselves, their Counsel, agents and witnesses so far as the Committee think fit: The evidence taken before the Joint Committee from time to time to be printed, but no copies thereof to be delivered out, except to Members of the Committee and to such other persons as the Committee shall think fit, until further order.
