HL Deb 07 May 1912 vol 11 c975
THE MARQUESS OF LANSDOWNE

I do not know whether, before the House adjourns, the noble Marquess opposite is in a position to tell us what arrangements he proposes as to the Whitsuntide adjournment.

THE MARQUESS OF CREWE

I under stand, in the first place, that there is no business on the Paper for to-morrow or Thursday, and therefore I propose, if the House agrees, that we should adjourn until Monday. As regards future arrangements, I think it might meet the convenience of the House if we were to adjourn on Thursday, the 16th instant, to Tuesday, June 11. That is rather a longer holiday than is being taken in another place, but we are in somewhat slack water at this moment, and the adjournment I suggest may, perhaps, not be inconvenient to your Lordships.

Moved, That the House do adjourn, except for Judicial business, until Monday next.—(The Marquess of Crewe.)

On Question, Motion agreed to.

House adjourned at ten minutes past Seven o'clock, to Thursday next, half-past Ten o'clock.
