HL Deb 19 March 1912 vol 11 c506

Amendments reported (according to Order).

EARL STANHOPE

I have two small Amendments to move. They are consequential on an Amendment made at a previous stage of the Bill on the motion of the noble Lord who represents the Home Office. The object of that Amendment was to bring within the scope of the Bill the whole of the district included within the twenty-mile radius from the City of Westminster. I understand that the county borough of West Ham and the county borough of Croydon are entirely within those twenty miles, and therefore they should both be included. I beg to move—

Amendments moved— Clause 1, page 1, line 6, after ("Loudon") insert ("and to the county borough of West Ham and the county borough of Croydon") lines 8 and 9, leave out ("and of the county borough of West Ham and the county borough of Croydon").—(Earl Stanhope.)

On Question, Amendments agreed to.

Bill to be printed as amended. (No. 16.)
