The LORD CHANCELLOR acquainted the House that His Majesty had (by Commission) appointed the Duke of Devonshire and the Lord Herschell Speakers of the House in the absence of the Lord Chancellor, the Chairman of Committees for the time being, the Earl of Halsbury, the Earl Waldegrave, the Lord Ribblesdale, the Lord Balfour, the Earl Loreburn, the Earl Beauchamp, the Lord Denman, the Lord Colebrooke, the Earl of Granard: The said Commission was read.

The LORD CHANCELLOR acquainted the House, That the Clerk of the Parliaments had laid upon the Table the Certificate from the Examiners that the further Standing Orders applicable to the following Bill have been complied with:

Christchurch Gas. [H.L.]

The same was ordered to lie on the Table.
