Committee for Privileges met: The Attorney-General further heard on behalf of the Crown: Counsel heard in reply: Petition of the Duke of Atholl for the termination of the abeyance of the dignity of Earl of Oxford in his favour and for a summons to Parliament as Earl of Oxford, considered: Then it was resolved that the Petitioner hath not made out his claim to the said dignity: Report thereof to be made to the House.
