HL Deb 14 November 1911 vol 10 c166

House in Committee (according to order).

THE EARL OF DONOUGHMORE in the Chair.]

THE FIRST COMMISSIONER OF WORKS (EARL BEAUCHAMP)

My Lords, I postponed this Bill from last week in order that certain Amendments might be put down. The Amendments on the Paper— Clause 3, page 2, line 34, after the second ("Act") insert ("aid any provisions in any local Act or any by-laws wide thereunder") Clause 3, page 2, line 36, leave out ("and any provisions in any local Act") and insert ("or") lines 37 and 38, leave out ("and any by-laws made with respect to new buildings under any local Act") were drawn up in order to meet the wishes of a noble Lord opposite on behalf of the London County Council, but I understand that now the Loudon County Council are not anxious that these Amendments should be moved. Therefore I do not propose to move the Amendments in my name on the Paper.

Bill reported without amendment-, and to be read 3a To-morrow.
