Petition of Francis Burdett Thomas Money Coutts, now called Francis Coutts of Stoodleigh, Tiverton, in the County of Devon, praying their Lordships that, upon proving to their satisfaction that Sir William James Farrer, Knight, is in too infirm a state to allow him to appear at the Bar of their Lordships' House, their Lordships will be pleased to order and direct a Commission to be issued, directed to a fit and competent person or fit and competent persons as Commissioner or Commissioners, to examine on oath and take the evidence of the said Sir William James Farrer, Knight, touching the premises, viva voce or otherwise as their Lordships may direct; read, and referred to the Committee for Privileges.
