HL Deb 14 December 1911 vol 10 c1122

Amendments reported (according to Order).

THE UNDER-SECRETARY OF STATE FOR THE COLONIES (LORD EMMOTT)

I am sorry to trouble your Lordships further in regard to this Bill, but there are two small purely drafting Amendments which I want to insert. One is in Clause 2, page 2, line 3, to leave out the word "nominated" and insert the word "appointed." I may say that "nominated" has been left out everywhere else, and replaced by "appointed," but this was not noticed, so I ask that the omission should be made good now. The other Amendment is to bring the proviso to which your Lordships agreed from Clause 69, in which it was placed by mistake, into Clause 60, the clause to which it rightly belongs.

On Question, Drafting Amendments agreed to.

Then (Standing Order No. XXXIX having been suspended), Bill read 3a and passed, and returned to the Commons.
