§ VISCOUNT MIDLETONMy Lords, seeing the noble Lord the Under-Secretary of State for War in his place, I venture to ask him a question of which I have given him private notice. He was good enough to say that he would lay a Return giving certain figures with regard to the cost of the Territorial Army as compared with that of the old Volunteers. It would be a great advantage to your Lordships to have the figures, if possible, before Lord Dartmouth brings on his Notice on Monday next.
THE UNDER-SECRETARY OF STATE FOR WAR (LORD LUCAS)We are arranging so that the Return shall be laid in time to be in the hands of noble Lords before Monday's debate begins.
