HL Deb 07 July 1910 vol 5 c1150
VISCOUNT MIDLETON

My Lords, seeing the noble Lord the Under-Secretary of State for War in his place, I venture to ask him a question of which I have given him private notice. He was good enough to say that he would lay a Return giving certain figures with regard to the cost of the Territorial Army as compared with that of the old Volunteers. It would be a great advantage to your Lordships to have the figures, if possible, before Lord Dartmouth brings on his Notice on Monday next.

THE UNDER-SECRETARY OF STATE FOR WAR (LORD LUCAS)

We are arranging so that the Return shall be laid in time to be in the hands of noble Lords before Monday's debate begins.
