I. Treasury Minutes, dated respectively August 5, September 2, and September 28, 1899, declaring that R. D. Herring, Legation constable, Peking Consular service, Mr. Hanmer Lewis Dupuis, formerly clerk, Tangier Mission, and Mary Bryne, sub-postmistress, Beaumaris, were appointed without civil service certificates through inadvertence on the part of the heads of their departments.

II. Treasury Minute, dated September 20, 1899, granted a retired allowance to Mr. Charles Lewis James, assistant clerk in the Local Government Board, under section 2 of the Superannuation Act, 1887.
