THE SIXTH SESSION OF THE FOURTEENTH PARLIAMENT of Her Majesty the Queen, and the Twenty-sixth Parliament of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland, was opened by Commission at Two of the Clock.

The Lords Commissioners were:—The LORD CHANCELLOR (the Earl of Halsbury), the EARL OF PEMBROKE (Lord Steward of the Household), the DUKE OF MARLBOROUGH (Paymaster-General), the EARL OF COVENTRY (Master of the Buckhounds), and LORD BALFOUR OF BURLEIGH (Secretary for Scotland).

The Commons being at the Bar with their Speaker, the LORD CHANCELLOR delivered Her Majesty's Speech to both Houses of Parliament as follows:—
