HL Deb 16 June 1899 vol 72 cc1327-8
THE PRIME MINISTER AND SECRETARY OF STATE FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS (The MARQUESS OF SALISBURY)

My Lords, before the House adjourns, I think I ought to reply to the question which was asked yesterday by the noble Earl opposite (the Earl of Kimberley) as to the date when the Second Reading of the London Government Bill will be taken. I understand that Tuesday next will suit my noble friend, the Duke of Devonshire, and if it also suits noble Lords opposite I shall be pleased to put the Bill down for Second Reading on that day.

THE EARL OF KIMBERLEY

Tuesday next will suit us.

THE MARQUESS OF SALISBURY

Then it shall be put down for Tuesday.

House adjourned at five o'clock to Monday next, a quarter before Eleven o'clock.
