HL Deb 01 April 1898 vol 55 cc1633-4
THE LORD PRIVY SEAL (Viscount CROSS)

My Lords, I rise to move that this House, at its rising, do adjourn till Tuesday, at Three o'clock. I understand that it is the desire of both Houses that some statement should be made as to affairs in the Far East by the Government about the same time. In the other House there are some preliminary matters to be gone through before the statement can be made, and it is thought that Three o'clock will be a better hour for your Lordships to meet than Two o'clock, as previously arranged.

THE EARL OF KIMBERLEY

I do not think there can be any objection to the time being altered to Three o'clock.

Motion agreed to.

House adjourned at 5.30.
