(1.) In the application of this Act to Ireland a reference to the Local Government Board for Ireland shall be substituted for a reference to the Local Government Board.

(2.) In Ireland so much of section six of the Public Health (Ireland) Amendment Act, 1879, as relates to bye-laws for regulating the use of locomotives on a highway, or for preventing, their use on bridges, but not so much thereof as relates to bye-laws with respect to the hours during which locomotives are not to pass over roads or highways, shall apply to light locomotives. Provided that bye-laws made under that section with respect to light locomotives shall require the approval of the Local Government Board for Ireland.
