HL Deb 27 May 1895 vol 34 cc335-6
LORD MORRIS

asked Her Majesty's Government when the taking of evidence by the Commission appointed to inquire into the financial relations between Great Britain and Ireland was likely to be concluded, and when a report on the subject might be expected.

THE SECRETARY OF STATE FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS (the Earl of KIMBERLEY)

The Financial Relations Commission state that a volume of evidence and appendices is now ready, and will be presented to Parliament, with an interim report, in a few days. They further state that it is probable that, unless further evidence should be suggested, the evidence taken by the Commission will be concluded in the course of next month. The preparation of the final report, which will probably occupy some months, will then be undertaken.
