HL Deb 01 April 1895 vol 32 c561
LORD KNUTSFORD

May I ask the the noble Earl opposite whether he can give us any information about the holidays?

THE SECRETARY OF STATE FOR FOREIGN AFFAIRS (The Earl of KIMBERLEY)

I think that the most convenient course will be that, for all practical purposes, the House should adjourn to-morrow week for three weeks. It will, however, be necessary that the House meet once during that interval for the purpose of expressing Her Majesty's approval of the new Speaker; but the House would on that occasion, only meet for that formal purpose. For all practical purposes, therefore, it is proposed that this House should adjourn to-morrow week for three weeks.
