HL Deb 17 July 1894 vol 27 c156
THE CHAIRMAN OF COMMITTEES (The Earl of MORLEY)

asked the Lord Chancellor whether he was aware that papers had been circulated from time to time by the Incorporated Law Society criticising the working of the system of registration of title to land upon which his Land Transfer Bill was based; and whether he would obtain a Report of the Land Registry upon these papers, and lay them on the Table of the House?

THE LORD CHANCELLOR (Lord HERSCHELL)

I have called for a Report from the Registrar with reference to the working of his office in relation to these matters. I have received that Report, and will have it laid on the Table of the House.
